I started planning with Pete & Pamela eight months before their wedding day. They had just moved back from Florida to get married in their home town of Rockford. Pete told me the story about how they first met, via an interesting Facebook post, all about their first date, and into the proposal. I couldn't help but instantly take notice of the love these two shared. Pete also wrote poems for Pamela throughout their milestones together, even writing the last one to her on their wedding day, which he read out loud for their guests.
As we sat down to plan the wedding, they had a vision of a golf theme (not tacky, but elegant, and very tasteful). We wanted to add some very unique elements into the wedding; from the "unity putt" (yes, they made their first hole-in-one together as a newly married couple!), to the mini putt for cocktail hour, that Pete built, the memory table for Pete's dad, the hand crafted arbor, made especially for them by Pete's brother-in-law, and a pianist for cocktail hour playing, their favorite music, Bocelli. Every aspect of the wedding was Pete & Pamela; the competitive qualities they both share, the funny, and witty personalities they have, and their passion for golf, all tied into one very special day. It was such an incredible experience turning all of their wedding dreams into a reality.
Pete & Pamela, here is to never keeping score in your marriage (unless it's during a golf game), always being each others hole-in-one, & always following through on your marriage vows. We wish you many happy years together! Thank you both for letting White Orchid Weddings be a part of your special day!
